Motorcycle accessories, parts, etc

I’ve been running that banner ad over there for Motorcycle Superstore for quite a while and a good number of people have gone ahead and checked it out. However, apparently no one has ever bought anything from them or if they did it never got reported to me. Seems a little strange unless their prices are out of line or their tracking isn’t so good. Anyway, I found another supplier and am building up a sort of on-site store-in-a-blog. You can check it out here: A Harley Motorcycle: Accessories Right now it’s still fairly small but around 4 new items are getting added every day — pretty much one for every category. When I can I’ll add more all at once. As long as this is a sort of commercial post, don’t forget about checking the bookstore or the magazines. Yeah, I know, this is the time for riding not reading - but there’s a lot of info on maintaining and chopping and doing some heavy creative work on the ride: A Harley Motorcycle: Books, Guides and Manuals A Harley Motorcycle: Magazines End of the commercial interlude. I can never decide if I’m being a moron mentioning this stuff or nor. I get the feeling though that if I don’t, lots of times people don’t really look around much - and there is some cool stuff. Being just about to go on vacation for the next two weeks, I’m trying to figure out if I can manage to do a trip over to Angra dos Reis on the coast. It’s not so much that it’s a long ride or anything, but large segments of it go through real nowhere and the nicest stretch goes over one of the higher mountain passes. Actually it goes through a real leaky tunnel since there isn’t really a pass up there. And this time of year, it gets pretty chilly up there. That road is asphalt going up the mountain to the tunnel. Then it turns into cobblestones. Wet, mossy rocks. Going downhill. Steep downhill with mountain curves. Then it turns back into asphalt for the rest of the run out to the coast. So far it sounds pretty good. I do admit though that I no longer have much desire to ride through torrential rains. Especially up in the mountains in the winter. Normally it’s relatively dry this time of year, but the regular climate patterns seem to have gone all weird lately. Last week it was rainy, cold and pretty nasty. The last few days it’s been mostly sunny and cold. So I’ve been riding, just not much. I think I need that vacation, I’ve been feeling brainburned and need to go away and get some of the accumulated brain sludge blown free. Rick |
