About the Buell fund…
|
One of the reasons I do this site is because I’d really like to get a Buell so I keep looking around for stuff that you all might be interested in which would contribute to the fund. Man, it’s slow going I gotta tell you. I may need to do some serious reconsideration about what ride I’ll actually be able to get down here. Recently I’ve been getting email spam about free cell phones and it got me thinking. These days nearly everybody can manage to get a cell phone. For a rider it can be a life saver. In fact, if you drive any kind of vehicle, it’s just the smart thing to do to have a cell phone with you all the time. Things break down, stuff goes wrong, you need some help or even just need to tell someone you’ll be late. Without a cell phone those kinds of situations can be real inconvenient and maybe even dangerous. So I went looking and found Koolphone which offers a lot of free cell phones and they represent ALL the major wireless phone carriers: AT&T Wireless, T-Mobile, Cingular Wireless, Nextel, Sprint, & Verizon Wireless. They say their phones are the best cell phones on the market: Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, LG Electronics, Sanyo, Handspring, Kyocera, NEC, Siemens, and more. All in all it could be a great deal if you’re looking to get a free cell phone, need a new plan or just want to change carriers. I like this one because it looks like a great deal for everyone. Down here nearly everybody’s walking around with cell phones so I figure up in the states there’s got to be even more. And since you can compare a bunch of plans and phones online this should be a fairly popular deal. So if you’re looking for a new phone or a new plan - or just want to see what’s available and decide later, check ‘em out: The best rates on wireless service AND a FREE wireless phone from Koolphone Maybe if enough of you are looking for new phones/plans and like what they’re offering, it’ll give the fund a nice boost. I’m kind of going back and forth on whether to aim for a Harley or the Buell. It’ll be a little easier to get a Harley down here. I might even be able to pick up a good used one which would reduce the cost some — not much really since Harley’s hold their value nearly forever, but a little less than new. The problem with a Buell is I’d probably have to get it specially imported and that’s going to be a serious outlay. (And I hate to even think about insurance. Getting insurance here on a large bike seems to cost as much per year as the bike did). Time’s up, gotta go to the JOB. Rick |
